Day 122: Mole National Park

We're awake around 6 a.m. because a German tour group is making an outrageous amount of noise while dismantling, but we're still too lazy to set off on a guided walk at seven.

For now we leave it with a view of the wide valley from the restaurant and pool terrace having breakfast there.

And then it's cleaning time. Lots of dust during the last two days. Inside and outside. In every joint and every corner. There is no sign of the car wash that we were given as a surprise at the hotel in Bondoukou. Justine and Simon actually have a small vacuum cleaner and another French couple (Lilian and Raffaele) have a ladder, so we get carried away with a major cleaning. Wow, looks good again. A few more small repairs and laundry (both always have to be done...). Then we are completely exhausted.

Every now and then you have to keep an eye out for monkeys sneaking around. There is a rumor that some T-shirts have already been owned by monkeys.

We hop into the pool, watch elephants drinking in the valley, see antelope, colorful bee eaters and other birds and are very happy that we drove through yesterday.

On the way back we meet the warthog who was already rummaging around the square with his kids in the morning looking for something to eat.

Today the campsite is only occupied by the other two French couples and us, very cozy.
