Day 186: Fazenda Rio Uiri – Alfa Bar, Lobito
Easter Sunday. We decide to drive further to the coast, the infrastructure on the fazenda is not optimal when it rains again – and it certainly will. We are currently learning what the rainy season is and in a weaker form without constant rain like in Sierra Leone or Liberia or elsewhere.
We head towards the coast to Sumbe and then south to Lobito. The landscape changes, becomes less mountainous and we enter the valley from around 1,400 m above sea level. Another great day of driving.
We arrive in Lobito dry, no rain since yesterday evening. Parking in the sand, a magnum icecream at the bar, a swim in the sea, a shower, a pizza.
Neither of us is fit, but it's pleasant to be here.
