Day 187: Alfa Bar, Lobito
Brigitte still has a fever, so we do what the doctor in Côte d’Ivoire told us: we go to the hospital. Alfredo from the Alfa Bar drives us there and unfortunately has to stay there as a translator. He takes it calmly. And so the three of us spend half a day at the Clinica Sagrada Esperanca. The results in short: no malaria, no dengue. Antibiotic for bronchial infection and urinary tract infection. With the latter, it's rather surprising that it's only happening now – after many liters of fluid have been sweating out for months.
By the way, the clinic is well organized and confirms our image of Angola – at least in the cities, everything is more organized, more progressive and more ambitious than in the rest of West Africa.
We lounge around for the rest of the day – a good spot here on the beach next to the bar. Maybe it's a bit too hot. The sea seems really cold to us later.
Julian has now arrived here and we eat together in the evening – there is delicious fish for the non-vegetarians!
