Day 07: Salavas – Arles

Actually we stood and slept quite well.

After breakfast we continue along the Ardeche to the Pont d’Arc. It's magical here and Wolle even dares to go into the cool water. Memories of the past!

In a small restaurant there are hearty meatballs with fries and salads.

We're in Arles, perfect for ice cream in the afternoon – another souvenir stop. Brigitte bought the first fresh ravioli of her life here over 40 years ago and the markets of Provence were a revelation back then. Friendly, relaxed, manageable, pretty – Arles is still just a nice city today.

A little outside there is a campsite that is still open, unfortunately very noisy and with a lot of mosquitoes. In general, on this trip we notice how loud car traffic is at night and how many cars are apparently on the road at night. This is only possible with earplugs.
