Day 210: Windhoek

Our bike should be ready at Tren Tire. But unfortunately we are still in Africa :-(

The rim has been spruced up, but the tire is missing. Pretty stupid for both sides, because Tren Tire actually only took over the rim goodwill case for Tsumeb and was supposed to find the hole. In the end we agree on a new tire, the cost of which we share. So we now have the “new” spare tire and the new goodwill tire at the back. The other rear wheel becomes the spare wheel. In the end, not a bad deal for us.

Pupkewitz Megatech has not yet contacted Ecoflow. This way we can wait a long time for feedback. But when asked, they respond quickly and Ecoflow responds just as quickly. It's no surprise: Warranties are not provided in Namibia. Now Pupkewitz is checking whether the part can be repaired and how much it would cost – Ecoflow has at least given permission for this. We'll leave the device there – let's see...

Let's go back. We start cleaning and cleaning the roof tent as well as the compartments for chairs etc. as well as for the gas bottle and the canisters. A little screwing also needs to be done so that the flaps close properly again.

In the evening we cook, eat and chat with Carl, along with a small fire, like most days before – it's just nice to be able to reflect on the experiences together.
