Day 212: Windhoek
7:00 a.m. off to the Offroad Center. A new cable will be laid from the battery to the power station so that charging only takes place when the ignition is on and it will never happen again that the power station puts a strain on the battery when the car is off. There is also a better plug for the connection in the cabin, as the old one had already gotten too hot for us and was thankfully repaired by Cosme in Cotonou.
We're hanging around in the meantime. First in the Auas Mall, then in the Namibia Craft Center. On to Maerua Mall in a vain search for luggage straps and again to the Craft Center for lunch. Then the car is ready and we rush to the Grove Mall again and finally find small straps in the sports store.
We're completely exhausted, even though we've hardly done anything :-)
Nevertheless, we still have a bit of sorting out and looking through papers. Since we hardly met any people who drive from south to north, all the old SIM cards are now being dumped.
