Day 20: Granada – Camping Cabopino

There was a lot of wind tonight – we're not used to that anymore.

We're a little tired in the morning and we're trying to get going. The route first goes through the mountains, almost at a right angle first to the west and then south to Malaga.

We want to try to get a service appointment there directly from Toyota, because there was no response to our email inquiries in Malaga and Algeciras. Just like emails to campsites always remain unanswered. We are excited. And fail. Appointments can only be made online. Or via a hotline with language selection/recognition in Spanish.

Three people on site have zero desire to deal with us. While we're still on site (it's air-conditioned and has a good network), we try to reach someone at Toyota in Algeciras – and to our suprise, we at least get Raul on the line, who can speak some English. Will he keep his promise to get back to us after an email we sent to him? Who knows… We could also have maintenance done in Casablanca? Or book online?

First of all we need a place for tonight and we find Cabopino near Marbella. It's ok, we were afraid it would be worse. Now we have arrived on the Costa del Sol and in between the northern European winterers :-) A book comes to mind, “The Children of Torremolinos” - wasn't it about the first escapees?

Wolle works his way through Toyota's online booking system and we learn Spanish. Ultimately we – hopefully – have an appointment in Cadiz on Friday, which was the earliest we could find.

Because we feel like it, we're having red wine with our meal today – "House wine or good wine?" was the question when we bought it and "good wine" is accordingly expensive and delicious!

We didn't really have the time to take photos today. Maybe we were still too saturated with yesterday's impressions.
