Day 200: Etosha/Halali – Tsumeb
The tire didn't deteriorate any further overnight and so we decide to just pump it up and save ourselves having to change the tire. The routes today offer enough parking spaces in between if things go wrong. When asked what you actually do if you have a breakdown in the park: Just wait for someone with a phone (we always only have data volume) and than calling the reception. Don't leave the car.
Everything is going well. We have another nice day with large herds of animals. Including many, many giraffes. However, no more “highlights”. Leopard and cheetah are hiding from us.
In the late afternoon we arrive at the Kupferquelle resort of Tsumeb, the place that has been our vision of destination from time to time. A shady and green place, spacious and clean sanitary facilities, a huge pool, a good restaurant.
Today is day 200 of our trip. One year ago we picked up our car from the dealer. And exactly 15 months ago we were here for the first time. Reason enough to celebrate the day with a delicious meal and wine (!) in the restaurant.
