Day 97: Kambama – Gola National Park / Lalehun

Today we continue to the Gola National Park, to Lalehun, the main entrance. It's quick up to Zimmi, but from there the road is slow. Deep ruts, potholes, muddy areas, rocky passages. But a magical landscape! Not quite as dense undergrowth, in between giant trees, palm groves, villages, rice fields, a test area for cashew cultivation, hills. We need one day of driving for 120 km.

The camp is nice, a few large trees, a little more light, not quite as stuffy, running water. And again we haggle over money. The 180 Leonis for the campsite initially becomes 180 per person. Plus park fee and community fee. Walk 130 – but with four people (Almut, Simon and us) two guides are needed. For safety reasons :-)
