Day 34: Camping Takat

Tomorrow the dreary November begins in Germany and we are in Morocco and actually find 20 degrees too cool with clouds and wind :-)

We spontaneously decided to spend a day here. But only after we have reconciled our balance with the cash we still have. Curiously, we are no longer used to this, it feels a bit like in earlier times when one was looking for open banks or ATMs.

This morning we took a little care of the car, blew out the air filter, checked the tire pressure, plugged in the Adblue pump (but we should do it again and drive a bit), and fixed the power station more securely.

And in the afternoon, sitting in the shade by the pool, we did “accounting.” A must if you are traveling for a longer period of time. It's just stupid when the bank portals require updates that cannot be installed. But we still made progress and were able to throw away a huge pile of receipts from France and Spain – that's the disadvantage of not paying in cash.

And Wolle got photos uploaded from the camera, which needed a lot of patience.

As a reward for the work done, we jumped into the pool! It's so wonderfully peaceful here. No yapping dogs (or only in the distance), just a mosque (i.e. only one muezzin), no thundering surf (which we then miss again) and only the occasional group of quad bikers (which quickly pass).

Less than a quarter of the space is occupied, but according to the campsite owners, they are expecting winterers from November on, who are then happy to stay for up to six months (!). As beautiful as it is here – six months??? Honestly?

Showering, cooking, enjoying the sunset, switching to the restaurant again (because of WiFi) and enjoying the rest of yesterday's wine – this is how a pleasant day comes to an end.

An addendum to yesterday: When we visited the nature park with Jacky, we only communicated using Google translate – it works pretty well.
