Day 01: Hamburg - Witzenhausen

After packing everything yesterday except for a few small things and getting most of it done at home, we take it easy this morning.

We want to wait for the mail – unfortunately the new set of tire repair kit won't reach us in time, but that's no big deal. Now the online ordering orgy has come to an end! We set off at around 2 pm. Somehow strange and yet quite simple – everything still feels completely normal.

At Neuland-Beton in Harburg, we have the opportunity to weigh our car: 3,400 kg. We thought it would be around 50 kilos less. As we then fill up with 100 liters of fuel, the 3.5 tons are exhausted. But we really are fully equipped, so everything is fine. Let's go!

Today we make it to Witzenhausen in relaxed traffic conditions (yes, even on the A7 this is possible sometimes).

The campsite is a bit too close to the road and noisy, but it's easy to walk into town for a pizza.
