Day 116: Man
Maybe we're out of the woods, last night was better. We hardly dare to hope.
We think about what it means for further travel planning that we will be here for 14 days rather than 4 days.
We are irritable, still powerless, but the nausea is gone, the fever seems to be gone, the world seems a little sunnier today, the first spirits are stirring.
In the last few days we have often thought about how migrants feel in Europe. It's funny when you can no longer assess things because you don't have enough experience. If you don't know whether the medication is the right one because you can't easily find the products that are sold here online. If you are not sure whether you have understood everything correctly. When you get paranoid that you're stuck. That you lose control.
Not nice.
It's also not nice that the technical devices in our car are constantly causing new irritations. Now the cooler box has an error message that can't be found online. The power station has been unpredictable for a long time anyway when it comes to the charging status... Nothing seems made for extreme heat and vibration.
On the other hand, the people around us are a joy. Emanuela, for example, who worked here for a week and is now returning to study law. Communication takes place using a little English, a little French, gestures and facial expressions. It's fun.
