Day 209: Windhoek

Gas research part 2: At Cymot we come to the pleasing conclusion that our Primus stove/camping gas adapter is apparently also suitable as an adapter for Namibian/South African bottles. That's a start.

So on to Bushwhacker again. We measure the standard filler neck and the adapter there – perhaps our great contact in Germany will find a solution. Otherwise it will be the end of our German gas bottle, which, contrary to expectations, even made it to Namibia.

In the afternoon we have an appointment with Anja and Armin, two Germans who have already spent a few months in Botswana and South Africa and perhaps, if the conditions on the eastern route do not change, want to drive north along the western route in the autumn.

Carl joins us and the coffee flows seamlessly into the Rock Shandy and then into dinner. Six hours passed quickly and very pleasantly!
