Day 55: Wild camp towards Bougé – Wild camp in Dawling Park

Somehow we wake up feeling a dizzy. It's just too hot for us northern people.

Our fridge is causing a bit of problems, maybe it's too hot – let's see what happens.

We have another long way to go today and want to get closer to the border with Senegal.

In Aleg we turn off the main route, we want to go along the border and the Senegal River. It is becoming green, there is large-scale farming and tractors. It feels like we are being checked every ten kilometers. Since the copies are also running out, we only show the passports and say that around 40 fiches have been blown away like the wind. Laughter, understanding, waving through. The further we get towards the border, the more relaxed the controls become.

Somehow there is no place to stay overnight in this more densely populated area and we drive to the gate of the nature park just before the Diama/Senegal border. Another too long day of driving!
