Day 87: Nova Africa south of Freetown, rest day

When we were already in bed, someone here played Christmas songs in English, nice music to fall asleep to.

We will stay here for a few days and are happy that there is not much going on here. Rest days! However, with music from various sides :-)

Almut and Simon arrive here in the afternoon. They did it. The petrol was enough to cross the border, the first gas station was too crowed, at the third they got a few liters and then some again in Waterloo – something like that. Jennifer, the operator of the place, tells us that the “fuel crisis” has spilled over into Sierra Leone. No wonder.

We chat, go swimming, everyone cooks what they have and we eat together, we treat ourselves to a beer. This is how a rest day can be spent relaxing.
