Day 23: Camping SurEuropa (nearby La Linea)
The storm was violent, rain and hurricanes pressed so hard on one side of the roof tent that we had a tiny leak. But overall everything went well.
After a complication-free appointment at Toyota (why were they so stupid in the other store in Malaga?), we went shopping so that we didn't have to worry too much about the first few days in Morocco.
And then we buy our ferry ticket for tomorrow. With Carlos. Recommended at iOverlander. Well-functioning chaos. Now our passports have a stylish protective cover and when we ask how we like it, we deny the old designer life without batting an eyelid: Muy bien, muy bien!
But so far we've had nothing except a coffee in an incredibly loud bar (there's definitely no sweet breakfast in the industrial area).
Quickly grab a cookie and head back to the shopping center – there are amazingly delicious little things there. Rescued. Now quickly to the hardware store, back to the campsite, stow everything away, clean the fridge, dry anything that has become slightly damp and – yes, almost done. Today we just have to think briefly about what we need to take with us on the ferry tomorrow.
Then here's a little addendum about Gibraltar: It occurred to us yesterday that Hong Kong and Gibraltar have certain structural similarities. A mountain, a town at the foot of the mountain, a nature reserve and beaches, an almost island-like location. However, the cities themselves cannot be compared at all, we simply found Hong Kong to be indescribably great.
