Day 174: Dolphin Holiday Resort
Off to Toyota. We had already bought a replacement battery in Zambia. We could have installed it ourselves, but it's easier this way, and perhaps we can get an assessment of the problem.
Conclusion: Batteries only have a 12-month warranty, and their current service life no longer bears any resemblance to our memory of "lasting several years." The old battery (14 months) is damaged, but with a charger, it can still serve as a backup. However, we urgently need to install a charging booster between the battery and the Ecoflow for the future. Even if the Ecoflow is only connected temporarily, it can damage the battery.
Afterwards, it's off to the shopping mall – Wolle is getting a new pillow. Sometimes washing doesn't help anymore, since it's always cold and in top-loading machines. The question is gradually starting to arise: what things will even come back, given how much they've suffered...
It's nice, by the way, that the campsite serves tea and scones in the communal pavilion in the morning and afternoon. So we picked up a few tips from other campers from South Africa. And now we're planning the next and final weeks of our trip. It's a strange feeling.
After that, we need some exercise! Just before nightfall, we head out for a half-hour walk along the beach promenade.
It's almost like a normal routine at home...
