Day 32: Riverdance Lodge – Mahango Game Reserve – Riverdance Lodge
Neither of us sleeps well; our composure has somehow been exhausted, and frustration is starting to set in. So, at night, we listen to the river, which, at its rapid flow, sounds like gentle ocean surf.
In the morning, Wolle researches and communicates on the Toyota forums, but unfortunately, the collective intelligence of the internet isn't helping us in this case. However, we finalized an appointment with a repair shop last night, so we'll head out tomorrow.
The day shouldn't be completely wasted, and we drive to the smallest park in the Caprivi, the Mahango Game Reserve. We've heard that you can easily drive through part of it without a 4x4.
And so we see a few hippos, a few crocs in the water, two elephants, lots of antelope, and warthogs. Always nice, and today it's definitely a good distraction.
By the way: The humidity has brought out a multitude of butterflies, fluttering colorfully through the air.
Tonight we'll enjoy our campsite, eat leftovers, build a small fire, listen to the river, and gaze at the stars.
