Day 205: Capetown
Two years ago today, we took the ferry from Spain to Morocco.
And to celebrate, we're going to Table Mountain today.
The cable car has been closed repeatedly over the past few days due to excessive wind. On Sunday, the marathon was even canceled because the wind blew down barriers and apparently destroyed structures in the start and finish areas.
But today: perfect weather, hardly any wind, sunshine, warmth, good visibility. And of course, it's crowded. But after an hour, we're at the top, and it's – once again – simply fantastic.
After all these meat-heavy weeks, we're enjoying Asian cuisine. Silk Asian Fusion is our choice today. Six delicious different "tapas", dessert, wine, and water for about 50 euros. Big-city prices by local standards. But we're afraid we'll experience a bit of a price shock in Hamburg.
We spent 602 ZAR (about 30 euros) on three Uber rides (a total of around 75 km).
