Day 191: Karoo NP – Thabile Lodge (near Oudtshoorn)
We continue through the barren, scrubby plains of the Little Karoo. The northern mountains to the right recede, while the southern mountains to the left draw closer.
A short stopover in Prince Albert: pleasant, colonial ...
And then the Swartberg Pass. Spectacular, even if it "only" climbs to around 1,500 meters. Breathtaking views and, at this time, wonderful vegetation. The entrance to the gorge from Prince Albert is simply breathtaking.
We've booked into the Thabile Lodge near Oudtshoorn for tonight, in memory of our trip eight years ago. We're enjoying the luxury, and yes, the food is still absolutely DELICIOUS!!!
