Day 192: Thabile Lodge – Tsitsikamma National Park
We chat a bit too long after breakfast with Daria and Sebastian, a young couple from Essen. Very nice. Perhaps someday we'll see if they've also caught the urge to travel to Africa.
And then we have a second wonderful day of driving on the gravel road through the mountains. First, we head towards Uniondale and Plettenberg Bay, and then into the Tsitsikamma National Park to one of the most beautifully situated campsites right by the sea.
If only the entire complex were in better shape :-(
While the restaurant was housed in a tent eight years ago, it's now outdoors, with the kitchen in containers. One-third of the huts are being renovated, half of the campsites are unavailable, and the bathroom facilities are pretty worn out.
But the scenery is magnificent, and we take a walk to the Suspension Bridge.
