Day 38: Shametu Lodge (Divundu) – Ngandu Safari Camp (Rundu)

Off to Rundu. The route is a bit boring, but whatever.

TrenTyre has a new tire identical to the KO3. KO2, our previous model, is no longer available. A comparison reveals that the tires are indeed different in circumference. Incredulous astonishment at TrenTyre as well. Is it because some are made in the USA and others in Thailand? Who knows...

Becky, as far as we can tell on the rough roads, is driving straight again.

But the 4x4 engaging issue is acting up again. And since we want to have Toyota do a final check of the wheel suspension, etc., to put our minds at rest anyway, we'll discuss that again.

4x4 is fine, but it can be difficult to change gears if you're traveling faster than 40 km.

The check is planned for tomorrow: Do the wheels have any play? Are the upper ball joints OK? The rubber mounts for the steering stabilizer will definitely be replaced.

Wow, all technology today. Our heads are spinning and we're tired from nothing...

The Ngandu Safari Lodge isn't exactly the most amazing place, but it's reasonably priced and conveniently located. A rock shandy to rehydrate, spaghetti with tomato sauce to soothe the soul. That's it for today.
