Day 193: Tsitsikamma National Park
In the morning, we chat with Curtis and Snow from the USA. They also drove the West Coast and are the first Americans with their own vehicles we've met so far.
We did the Waterfall Hike eight years ago. It was just right: a bit of hiking, a bit of climbing, a bit challenging, but not too much – and at the end, a waterfall with a pool.
The water is lousy cold; Brigitte can only stand it for a few strokes, while Wolle can last much longer. What a fun.
On the way back, we turn off and climb up to the Main Gate – we want to extend our stay for another night. It works. In total, we walk about 10 km.
Unfortunately, all three washing machines aren't working, and since some of the clothes were already wet and the washing powder had already spread, we ended up having to handwash them. The washing machines are serviced by a private company in Geoffrey's Bay, 20 km away. No one from Sanparks feels responsible. Not even to call them... Grrrr...
Too lazy to cook, we go out to eat and then sip some red wine. The ocean surf, the starry sky, what more do you need?
By the way: This morning, we saw a whale in the distance. Always amazing.
