Day 77: Chishimba Falls – Flower and Fern Cottage and Campsite

No, we didn't go deaf from the bar music yesterday. Actually, our delicious fish dinner with the bar owner's playlist was actually quite fun.

Around 8:00, the grounds quieted down, and we slept extremely well with the gentle sound of the water. In the morning, mist hangs over the waterfall – the water is warmer than the air.

From Chishima Falls, we head back to Kasama for another Shoprite shopping trip and to fill up with Diesel. The circle is complete.

Today, on a Sunday, the country roads are full of pedestrians, some dressed up for church, others seemingly gathering for some kind of gathering.

We arrive early at Flowers and Ferns, the farm where we plan to spend the next few days. Brad has driven to Lake Tanganyika, but we're allowed in and then find the campsite. A huge area here. 2,000 hectares, as we later learn, of which only around 100-200 are under cultivation (corn and potatoes).

There's a small bathhouse with a donkey stove (which is immediately lit), a platform with a picnic bench and table combo, flower pots, water, a dishwashing and work surface, and electricity. The only thing missing is a network...

We hang out for a bit, doing this and that, and realize that the last few days have been a lot of driving. Still, it was great.
