Day 98: Nyore Hillside Retreat
The night is restless. Should we go to a larger hospital in Entebbe/Kampala? Should we even abort and ship out of Mombasa? Being seriously ill in rural Uganda doesn't feel good at all.
But: Wolle's fever is coming down. Brigitte's discomfort isn't getting any worse. So it's time to stay calm and wait for today. And decide day by day how we might proceed.
Today's diet consists of bananas (the small fruity ones), teas, and muesli. In the evening, some vegetables with rice and corn porridge (posho) or mashed banana (matoke?) and mashed potatoes. The food here is really good.
Our main activity today is birdwatching. So many different ones. And we only manage to capture a few of them on camera. Many others are too fast, too erratic. It's beautiful here!
We've recovered a little, Wolle is feeling a little better. And maybe we'll continue tomorrow, we'll see...
