Day 188: Camdeboo National Park – Karoo National Park

We drive about 200 km to Beaufort West through the Little Karoo. Flat, dry, low scrub. Sheeps. The occasional antelope or ostrich. Every now and then, one of the typical wind turbines on a water borehole. Mountains on the horizon.

The Karoo National Park is larger than the previous two. A loop takes us around the next mountain and over a pass. A breathtaking landscape. Animals here are more of an accessory and difficult to spot.

The campsite is full, with lots of families; it's school holidays. It's a good thing we booked a few days ago.

Things are going to be a bit more leisurely here...
