Tag 212: Capetown

With Paul, his two dogs, and his friend Buzz, we head out into nature again. In Newlands Forest, we hike into the old-growth rainforest. Just under two hours, a bit of up and down, a bit through the thicket – a perfect workout before we board our flight tomorrow.

For lunch, we stop at Cape Town's oldest pub, "The Fireman's Arms."

Paul gives us a lift to Paarden Island, and we check out Camp and Climb and 4x4 Megaworld in search of a second Forerunner Expander camping chair. No luck. Sold out. But Safari Center 4x4 is supposed to have some, so we make the detour anyway. And: We find it! And a handy double bag to go with it!

Time to pack for "home" :-(

What still needs to go in the car, what goes in checked baggage, what in hand luggage, will it all fit and not be too heavy?

And then we'll walk back to Noordhoek Farm Village and eat at "The Toad in the Village."

About 7 km on foot and 60 km by Uber…
