Day 119: Twiga Lodge and Campsite (Arusha) – Shose Chalets, Farm & Campsite (Moshi)

It's so cold at night! But today, just like yesterday, the sun is breaking through. How beautiful.

And we see Kilimanjaro! Truly magnificent! How it rests there, so broad and conical, in the landscape with its glacier-covered peak.

We drive just a good 70 km further to Moshi. The "Tulivu Retreat" doesn't have a good network (but we need it because of the server issue), so we head to "Shose Chalets, Farm & Campsite." The campsite is good, and everything else is pretty upscale. People meet here before or after the climb and have a good time. And we do regret, just a tiny bit, that we won't be able to make it to the top of this mountain. But untrained after four months of driving, inexperienced hiking on snow or ice, and otherwise unprepared, it would be foolish to attempt a 6,000-meter peak (5,895 meters, to be precise), even if the guides are pretty "pampering" you.

But we enjoy the view and the good weather, which many others didn't have.

And Wolle continues to struggle with technical solutions...
