Day 12: Windhoek
We slept well, maybe everything will work out somehow. And maybe we're even gradually getting into the African pace.
By the way: It's quite chilly at night, and we're traveling more into autumn with shorter days.
We decide to stay here not only today but also on Saturday.
And since we have time, we turn our attention to the cooler. It's forming ice at a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius, and we've brought a new temperature sensor with us. The connector doesn't work right away, so we quickly drive to CarTech, where they might have the right tool to crimp the old connector to the new sensor. But it's not necessary, and everything is installed quickly.
And: We finally take the time to fix the hinges on the side flap that weren't closing properly. Once again, we've finished something that's been bothering us for a while.
Wolle is still wiping and polishing here and there; for the past two days, he's hardly been without a rag :-)
We're planning a short road trip starting Sunday to bridge the waiting time until the new windshield arrives and hope the crack doesn't get worse rapidly. With Easter approaching, it seems wise to book a few places. Klein-Aus-Vista, for example, a nice place we visited in 2020, is completely booked...
The day is over in a flash.
