Day 24: Lapa Lange Lodge – Windhoek

We say goodbye to our camping companion, a friendly brown dog, and speed north on the highway back to Windhoek.

We make a quick stop at the Hardap Dam, but the park fee of 250 NAM is too much for just a photo of the full dam and a coffee on the restaurant terrace.

Becky gets a quick wash in Windhoek – urgently needed and also sensible before we head to the garage tomorrow.

And then we stop by Renov to check for seals for our tailgate. Our mishap with the cabin, taking it down and reattaching it, has caused it to warp slightly. Not much, but a few millimeters of cracks are enough to cause a dust disaster in the interior :-(

And the place is great. There are a variety of options, and the owner personally lends a hand. After a few attempts, we pull off the seals with three different profiles, some of which have already been reattached, and some of which we'll tinker with over the next few days.

We like the Urban Camp and its team, the atmosphere, and the food. And so, it's perfectly fine for us to come back here.

Our short trip was fun; Namibia never really gets boring, and we learned a lot about the living conditions here on the farms.
