Day 11: Windhoek
8:00 a.m. Toyota. The sensor is here and installed relatively quickly. Now it's time to check that the error doesn't occur again.
We drive to the Transkalahari Inn to pick up our battery charger, notice that Gerhard and Manuela are still asleep (their last day before the return flight), have a chat with Hilde, and drive a little further out toward Gobabis, until, after a total of 222 km, the DPF regeneration kicks in properly. Good!
Turn the car off, start it again – no error. We're almost a little nervous: Could that really be it?
We rush through water again on the way in. Lunch break and then head back through the city, get some polishing paste, check Bushwhackers to see if we can use anything else, get some milk – the main thing is a few stops. And everything works. Great!!!
We get a response from PG Glass that the windshield should be in Jo'burg on April 18th and then around April 25th. in Windhoek. We couldn't have expected a higher level of commitment. That evening, we go out to dinner and realize that exactly one year ago, we crossed the border between Angola and Namibia in Ruacana and felt like we were coming "home". Wow. One year ago. How crazy is that!
