Day 108: Augrabies Falls – Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Today we leave Augrabies Falls in the direction of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

First a short detour to Upington, where we go to a vehicle glass repair company to have the damage to the windshield assessed, which we must have caused the day before yesterday. They could repair it, but there is a residual risk that the windshield will break in the process. So we drive on with it for now.

In Upington we stock up on our remaining stock of non-alcoholic beers so that we don't go thirsty for the next few days.

In Askham we have a delicious lunch and at around 3 o'clock we arrive in Twee Rivieren.

There we go to the check-in counter for the park. Then to South African immigration to get our passport stamped out. Funnily enough, we are stamped out today, so we are in the middle of nowhere until we stamp in on December 18th to Namibia in Mata-Mata.

Stamping out the CdP is once again a bit more complicated, as the police officer who is responsible for it doesn't know it and the immigration officer and his superior, who is called in by phone, have to first point out that he is responsible. The main thing is that I have a stamp out the CdP from South Africa.

It's really hot again. It's probably going to be a warm night too.
