Day 53: Riverside Country Club Modderrivier – Bloemfontein

A Sunday morning in the “Free State”. We drive through the country because we have time and just want to go to Bloemfontein. Fenced farmland, pastures with cattle, red fields, avenue trees, a few old buildings, a few colonial buildings, otherwise small stone houses with corrugated iron roofs in horribly littered villages. And full churches.

Wolle notices little of all this, he is completely, but unfortunately fruitlessly, absorbed in why our SIM cards have not worked since yesterday evening.

In Bloemfontein we check in at the Reyneke Caravan Park, large, not exactly cozy, noisy from the road, but conveniently located 8 km from Bloemfontein and with ablution blocks for each pitch pretty comfortable.

We take a short tour of Bloemfontein: Where is Toyota, where is a laundry, where is a good supermarket, where is a cafe or mall, where is an MTN shop?

Here also the first Christmas offers are already hitting the shelves in the supermarket.

At MTN, it takes a clear complaint and ultimately a good idea from an employee to get the SIM cards working again. Which setting was wrong? We don't know. The menus that you have to click through on your phone are not really clear. But how lucky that the shop is open on Sunday.

The "free" afternoon is spent on small things.
