Day 96: Rocky Drift Private Reserve – Johannesburg
We're heading back to Johannesburg with a stopover in Pretoria. This is where the SAN Park administration's headquarters are located:
Wolle has initiated bookings for the Augrabis Falls and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park for the rest of the trip. The process was aborted after the money was debited without a reservation confirmation. No one got back to us by email and we couldn't get through by phone. The lady on site wants to renew the bookings that have since been canceled and have the debit linked to the new booking. We're excited...
And while we're in Pretoria, we'll take a look at the Nelson Mandela statue and the Voortrekker monument. Both are another reason to remember the history of South Africa.
In the evening we're back at "Airport en Route", David and Marion's place. The two of them, however, are currently travelling in the Kruger :-)
The journey itself was a bit boring, lots of bulk trucks, spoil heaps, sand and coal dust, steel industry, crowded places that are nevertheless sprawling across the landscape.
