Day 67: Khotso – Lotheni Campsite

We will continue to explore the Drakensberg massif over the next few days. Today we are going to Lotheni Camping. It is hot and oppressive and when we arrive a thunderstorm is brewing to the east of us.

We still walk to a small waterfall, nothing spectacular, but exercise is good (about 6 km / one and a quarter hours).

When we come back it gets windy, later stormy, and it rains a little at night. Nevertheless: great scenery. And as long as the campsite is not packed (and we are the only ones there tonight), it is very idyllic here.

Incidentally, we are more or less directly east of the highest mountain in Lesotho (Thabana Ntlenyana 3,482 m), which we passed on the way to the Sani Pass last Tuesday.
