Day 14: Maun

Today we have a lot to do, but we take some time during breakfast chatting with Thomas from Switzerland.

First we book an additional night at the South Gate of Moremi (Xakanaxa is still not available) and a night a few days later in Ihaha before we get to Kasane.

Then we pay the fees for Moremi and Chobe at the park administration and buy a few nice booklets with animal and bird pictures and all kinds of information about the parks.

Botswana is getting pretty expensive ...

After that we go to Sun Solar, but they can't or don't want to help us with our panel – cutting it open to repair a broken wire is a bit brutal.

On to Spar, then to Choppies and finally to Shoprite – then we have everything we need including a new mosquito pad burner. The Italian Vapo had stopped its service.

Don't forget to fill up the fuel tank! Checking the underbody screws. Doing the laundry (we had our trousers and towels washed by the hotel). Store groceries for the next six days. Test our water pump using a cordless screwdriver (it works, but it takes a while). Load the routes for navigation. And before you know it, the day is over.

In the evening we have pizza and go to bed early.
