Day 112: Mata-Mata (South Africa) – Windhoek (Namibia)

Today we plan to drive to Windhoek so that we can make an appointment at a garage the next day to clarify the next steps regarding the repairs.

The border formalities are completed within an hour. There is only one policeman on the South African side, because we have already crossed the border in Twee Rivieren.

On the Namibian side, as usual, things are formal and fairly orderly and we also get our CdP stamped again.

The drive through the Kalahari is impressive in terms of scenery.

The gravel road is excellent and so we manage a good average speed for the first 270 kilometers and are already in Windhoek at around 3 p.m., so that I even have time to drive to an MTC shop and reactivate my Namibia SIM card and ask at the car wash when the best time to come the next day is.

We spend the evening in Urban Camp and go to bed early because the appointment with the workshop is at 7 in the morning.
