Day 48: The Farmhouse Matopos (Zimbabwe) – Nata Lodge and Campsite (Botswana)

And we make another jump – from the park to the border to Botswana and then via Francistown to Nata.

We cross the border smoothly in just under an hour.

In Francistown we go to the supermarket, look for a BTC shop to top up our SIM cards and have lunch at the Thorntree Cafe.

We continue to the Nata Lodge just before the Sua Pan, which we want to cross tomorrow.

It is the easternmost salt pan in the Makgadigadi region. Unfortunately, we will not visit any of the others this time.

As we have planned to be in Lesotho in October (best time to travel) and will pick up our friend Leo in Johannesburg on November 12th, we have arranged a car service in Bloomfontein for October 21st. This means we have a few appointments set.

We feel like we absolutely have to travel to this area again – there is still so much to discover!
