Day 02: Windhoek

We actually arrive in Windhoek on time and the night wasn't as bad as on the last return flight. We get a SIM card at the airport – it's a pity that they only last about 3 months. A tip: after using it, send an SMS about once a month to ensure that the number isn't immediately deactivated. We'll see...

Becky is already waiting for us at the Trans Kalahari Inn, clean and with a replaced starter battery. We unpack our big bags and everything is packed away in no time – so familiar! So nice!

After a chat with Hilde about our last trip, the drought in Namibia (probably the worst in almost 100 years), animal culling (because of the drought), the sale of the lodge (hopefully Hilde can stay) and our plans for December, we set off. And as always, the first stop is the supermarket in the Maerua Mall.

At the Urban Camp we get spot C11 again and almost feel as if we had never left.
