Day 44: Lusaka

Car wash! Absolutely needed! Outside. Driver's cabin. Living cabin.

Around midday we pick Carl up from the hospital and have another coffee – the latter is becoming a habit :-)

Then we head off to one of the 100 Shoprites in the city. Since we know how expensive it is in Zimbabwe (US dollars), we stock up on supplies here.

In the camp we signed up for the buffet again and had the interesting experience that last week, when an Italian tour group came, it was much tastier and more varied than today, when a German tour group is here. What does that tell us?

It should be noted again that we really felt at home in the Pioneer Camp. The facility is nice, the food is very good, the team is absolutely lovely and professional and the whole thing cost us an average of 40 euros for two people a day. We are almost a little sad to leave as we say goodbye to Ruben, our night guard, who happily sent us off to bed in the evening and greeted us just as happily again in the morning.
