Day 68: Lotheni Camping – Monks Cowl

The night was a bit restless due to the wind, but surprisingly warm. There would certainly be a few more hikes possible here, but we can't really judge the weather. So we drive further north to Monks Cowl.

The Cathkin Park is certainly busy when the weather is good, there are advertisements for everything you can imagine, like quad tours, abseiling, paint ball, spa, ... At the moment it is rather low season, the weather is not ideal and it is not weekend, so there is only one other couple and a currently empty tent on the campsite. Some cottages seem to be occupied, however.

We walk to a small waterfall here too, enjoy the spectacular view towards "Champagne Castle" (3,377 m), cook, shower and – it starts to rain. We will probably have that for the next few days. Nevertheless: very cozy here.
