Day 106: Kambiki Farm Camping – Augrabies Falls
We start the day slowly.
A leisurely breakfast. The route to Augrabies Falls today is not that far at 155 km.
We drive more or less along the Orange River with countless fruit and grape plantations. A large part of the river water is diverted for irrigation, so it is hardly surprising that the Augrabies Falls do not have to let through much water at the moment due to the dryness and are therefore not very spectacular, as we later discover on a walk to the waterfalls. The best time seems to be between February and April.
In the afternoon we take a walk along the waterfall and then take a cooling dip in the swimming pool.
