Day 85: Balule Satelite Camp – Letaba Rest Camp

We have a nice bird visit for breakfast.

Other than that, there is hardly anything to see in the first few hours today.

At some point in the afternoon the first antelopes appear, then elephants and we can watch hippos.

In Letaba we first get to know the cicadas, which are currently appearing in large numbers. Noise of up to 95 decibels at a frequency of up to 4,000 hertz. Pain threshold. But they are called singing cicadas...

The place is actually nice, here too with a view of a riverbed, a small path along the bank to the restaurant terrace. Catering by Tindlovu – and everything on the menu is even available :-) Still: Two nights with all that noise? We rebook and only stay one night.
