Day 43: Lusaka

This morning a minibus and a second car arrive at the campsite and around 20 children tumble out with suitcases and pillows under their arms. The school has rented the campsite for one night and the tents have been up for a few days. We are moved to the chalets. Not a bad deal: we have a nice bathroom and a cosy terrace this evening. Hello Werner: Really luxurious :-)

Otherwise we have a mixed day today.

The rail for the refrigerator pull-out is not in stock at Fiftyten in the required length and so today we are looking for alternative solutions. Unfortunately we cannot find anything at Mudpackers, Builders, Micmar...

Carl has his surgery today and we visit the hospital for the first time at around 11:30 – he is not through yet. We are not allowed to see him until after 1:00 p.m. The broken collarbone wasn't so smooth, the surgery took longer than expected and Carl is still dazed, so our visit is short. But he's got it behind him and that's good for now.

We have a coffee in town and try to get the old solar panel repaired after all. In vain. And so we make our way to the camp.

Somehow another day that goes by quicker than you'd like.

Btw: We came across a dish on the menu and it was still alive and healthy :-) But we had already decided on the vegetarian bowl.
