Day 38: Lusaka – Roy's Camp (at the entrancce of the Kafue National Park)

We head off to Kafue NP for a few days. Heading west from Lusaka, we see the districts that are not modern but very traditional with street markets, lots of small dark shops on either side and lots of hustle and bustle. And slow traffic.

In Mumbwa we want to fill up again. At the first gas station we are waved on, at the second there is no diesel. At the third we can fill up, but only pay cash...

In the evening just after 5:00 p.m. we are at Roy's Camp just before the gate to the park. That saves us a day's parking fee, 20 US dollars pppn each and 15 for the car! The camp is nice, we cook quickly, make a small fire and are happy that we set off. At night we are woken up by the hippos every now and then.
