Day 50: Buttle Lake Campground

After the wet night and 11 hours spent in the tent, we wake up in the morning, it's cold (but we're getting used to it), but fortunately no rain.

Actually blue sky is above us, but it will take a while until the sun shine is over the mountains. We have breakfast and then take a walk to the lake. There we find out that the sun is really shining now, that it is actually getting warm and that we are looking for a bath.

So we go back to get our bathing suit, only to find that the sun on the lake is now is covered from a cloud. Nevertheless with courage off into the water. It's good and we smell much better afterwards.

The sun comes out again and we enjoy it for a while.

We have some lunch and dry our clothes. Wolle works out a way to get the small bag down from a tree, which he uses for throwing up a line over a branch. Last night it has been wrapped around the branch.

We are likely the only ones hanging up their supplies into the trees, because most of the travellers have cars, where they can store their supplies.

The campground empties quickly in the morning and remains pretty empty, as the school holidays are over.

In the afternoon, we ride to the very beautiful Myra Falls, which are located at the southern end of the Buttle Lake (a 30-40 kilometers ride). In wet weather you should really be very careful with the Myra Falls. The rocks might be very slippery then.

Back at the campsite we have an early dinner (pasta with tomato sauce) and finally bring our travel diary up to date.
