Day 55: Victoria - Vancouver
In the morning we ride to the center again. We want to see the natural history exhibition of the Royal BC Museum. It is a well-constructed museum, which brings us closer to the history of the First Nations and the first settlers and explains a lot about flora and fauna. Highly recommended.
We are still having lunch in Victoria and want to catch a ferry in the early afternoon. On the ride it starts to rain again.
Unfortunately, we miss the 3 o'clock ferry and have to wait until the 5 o'clock ferry. The crossing lasts 1.5 hours and we do not see much because of the pouring rain, except that the ferry has to navigate between some islands.
We drive to our accommodation, which is a bit strange. It's a guesthouse with no direct contact to the host (only by phone, and of course, the accommodation is owned by Chinese). It's rented to tourists for profit maximization. But our room is big, we can dry our stuff, the kitchen (open for all tenants is sufficiently equipped). But it is not really clean.
We organize something for dinner in the nearby supermarket. It's still raining and we are early in bed.
