Day 06: Moskito Creek Campground (Banff National Park) - Vanderhoof

The night was really cold, probably only 4 degrees. Now we continue through Banff and then Jasper National Park. However, the weather is well only at the beginning, then the visibility is getting worse, it starts to rain. So we hardly make any stops, just ride past cloud-covered Mount Robson.

To avoid bad weather, we decide to head to Prince George and then west instead of riding straight north.

The goal for today is a campground in Vanderhoof. A nice, almost urban campground with an adjacent park and we find a great site there. And there is even a hot shower today.

Since we had only a breakfast burger in the morning, moderately and not really satisfying, we filled up our bellies at lunchtime - after the cold night and the ride in bad weather, a much needed calorie intake. That's why it does not need much in the evening, some nibbling stuff and of course a beer for pitching up the tents. We've fun to chat in the evening. Bed time then is late about 1:00 am.
