Day 38: Wells Grey Provincial Park - Mt. Robson River Campground
As usual in the tent, we wake up early and leave already around 9am.
On the way out of the park we visit some of sightseeings. First, a short walk to a platform along the river, where we actually watch salmons jump.
Next stop is Helmcken Falls, which falls 137 meters into the depths. The next waterfall is Dawson Falls with an impressing width of 90 meters. Finally, a trip to the Saphats Falls, which are very narrow.
In Clearwater we visit a Tim Hortons for the first time, where we meet a British family with three girls for the fifth time.
We continue to Valemount quite quickly. There we buy two sweets and some rolls in a Swiss bakery and in the supermarket we fill up our supplies. It's 40 km distance to Mt. Robson, which isn't really to see today too. We've reserved a site on the provincial campground, because there are only 17 sites.
We take a walk to the river, where we have a beer. Wild romantic. Due to the minerals, the water, which comes from the Mt. Robson glacier, has a great blue-gray color. It rushes past us at a tremendous speed.
We enjoy this campground, which even has a hot showers and some other amenities (drinking water, Dyson hand dryer).
