Day 49: Arrival in Denmark

We enjoy the breakfast buffet one last time. It's lovely, and there's plenty of time, even though the ferry arrives an hour earlier than usual at 11:30. Speaking of time: What a mess! Iceland is two hours behind mainland Europe in the summer. The ferry operates on Faroese time, which is one hour ahead of Germany and one hour behind Iceland. And then we forget to adjust our phones and wonder in the afternoon why, according to the GPS, we're not supposed to arrive at our campsite in Houstrup until 7:00 PM…

And the phone situation is a bit of a gamble anyway – on the coast near Seyðisfjörður, it gets all mixed up, and the photos end up in the wrong order.

After arriving in Hirtshals, we head north briefly to Skagen, to see the confluence of the North and Baltic Seas.

And we discover: Denmark is even more crowded than Iceland :-)
